With over 28 years of experience, Bill has
background both on the agency and the client
side of advertising, marketing and consulting.
Currently President of Thomasson Consulting,
Bill has worked on a wide array of client projects,
including serving as a new business and account
management advisor with one agency for nearly
five years. He brings experience in a number
of different industries to Second Wind, from
auto parts, to shipping, to technical products.
Bill began his career as a marketing director,
then started his own full-service advertising
agency, The Thomasson Company. He also
spent almost a decade as the agency president
for full-service agency The Packett Group, in
Roanoke, VA. Bill moved to consulting after
working on a few trial assignments and finding
it professionally rewarding.
“I have lived all of the highs and lows
of the agency business and have the ability to
quickly assess any agency business situation
and provide honest, meaningful feedback,” says
Bill. “Advertising is the last legal means
for taking unfair advantage of the competition.
There’s nothing I enjoy so much as helping
agencies win new accounts, or produce top-level
campaigns that generate a huge response.”
