We are looking into changing our PTO policy.  Has anyone converted from accruing based on the annual calendar to anniversary date?

I suggest just letting people take time off when they need to. Anyone that needs to be policed by a "rule" should not be working for the company anyways.

Moreover, it reduced admin costs and people tend to take less time off. Bonus!

I am curious why you would want to do that? It makes tracking of PTO more difficult as you have to manage many anniversary dates vs just one - the calendar year.  We are on an anniversary date system and would like to convert to the calendar year so everyone is on the same year.

We converted from anniversary date tracking to calendar year tracking, so opposite of what you are looking to do.  No need for accruing as long as your fiscal year is the same as the calendar year.
