I'm curious as to best practices regarding native video files. We developed two videos with an outside vendor - we received the finished product in myriad formats while the vendor houses the native files. Any retrieval of the files - for any reason - would come with a charge, which we expected. But we have a client whose expectation is that the file would be housed on site, at the ready for them. Has anyone run into this in the past; and if so, how have you handled?

Thanks much for any perspective you might have ~ Karen Grant

Generally you should be getting all of the files...including the source files. Allowing the vendor to keep them is a bad idea. There are likely software programs that you do not have that you will need to purchase.
