BIG Communications Wins Lantern Award for Amazon-aimed PR Campaign

In 2017, Amazon launched a search for a second headquarters location. Cities across the nation competed to be selected. BIG Communications, Birmingham, AL, was tasked with putting their city into the mix. The “BringAtoB” campaign secured 802 million national and international media impressions, and succeeded in winning Amazon’s attention—Amazon specifically mentioned the campaign when they spoke with Brimingham’s economic development team. In June 2018, Amazon announced plans to construct a 1,500+ employee fulfillment center in Birmingham’s metro area. This month, BIG received a Lantern Award from the Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF) for the best short-term program/campaign.
