We're in our 20th year of business, and are working on a new brand identity as well as a new website.  We'd like to do something that might get us some publicity, and I wonder if anyone has done anything that got you some positive buzz?

Gatesman+Dave did a very interesting web site - Ikeaordeath.com after having visited an IKEA store and seen the names of furniture lines looked sort of like the names of death metal bands.  People who come to the site take a test.  It's gotten over 5 million hits.

These are the types of viral things that MAKE an agency standout.

IKEA or Death may seem dumb, but it is very elegant and lots of fun.

They've gotten new business calls from it.

For our 20th Anniversary, we had an open house party where we invited local and out of town clients and vendor partners. Because most of our clients are out of town and could not attend, we decided to send them all a "Party in a Box" complete with all the makings of a cool party...it included food, fun and digital cameras. We asked them to take pictures having their party and send them to us so we could post.  Seemed to be a hit with clients...and got positive buzz by our clients.

Catalyst Advertising of Pittsburgh, PA, just broke an anniversary campaign with a series of teaser emails. They also are doing a few things on their website, including thanking their clients through the years. And their local billboard companies served up some congratulatory billboards. You can see some of the work on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Sell.Something
